Lycoming Leadership Team (LLT)
The Lycoming Leadership Team is comprised of top level representatives from every facet of the Lycoming Business Unit. The team is committed to the most effective harnessing, focusing and directing of Lycoming’s talent, resources, and energy to meet our commitment to the highest quality products as well as the highest level of service for our customers, our employees, our company and our community.
Ian Walsh
Senior Vice President and General Manager

Textron Systems appointed Ian Walsh, Senior Vice President And General Manager, to Lycoming Engines in September 2004. He is responsible for developing business strategies to drive long-term growth and profitability, while ensuring operational excellence to support the company’s extensive client base. Ian also heads the Lycoming Leadership Team.
Previously, Walsh was director of Textron’s pricing strategies, where he was responsible for the design, development and deployment of breakthrough value-based pricing for all Textron businesses. He is a certified Black Belt and was one of Textron’s first Top Gun Black Belts.
Ian began his Textron career in 1999 in marketing and sales at Bell Helicopter, where he held several critical management and executive roles in business development, including director of commercial marketing and customer advocacy.
Prior to joining Textron, Ian Walsh served as an officer and Cobra attack helicopter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1989 to 1996. He is an active pilot with more than 1,500 hours of flight time and is commercially rated in helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
Ian’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College, a master of public administration from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Todd Stoner
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Todd Stoner leads Lycoming’s Sales, Marketing, and Service and Support Team. Todd helps drive Lycoming’s business strategy and long-term growth through deployment of Textron’s customer leadership initiatives and application of best practices to customer relationship management. Todd is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team.
Todd Stoner joined Lycoming from Aventis, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. During his seven years there, he held positions in sales, training, and sales management. In his sales management role, he grew market share and led sales force optimization and best practices efforts. He also built and led one of the most successful sales forces within the company.
Todd Stoner served as an officer and CH-46 transport helicopter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1989 to 1997. He held numerous positions in aircraft maintenance, including flight test. Todd is an active pilot with more than 1,700 hours of flight time and is commercially rated in helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
Todd’s education includes a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Boston University.
Don Wagner
Vice President of Operations

Don Wagner leads Lycoming’s Operations Team in relentless improvement. Don’s professional strength is leading a team based integration of operational processes and 6 Sigma tools across traditional boundaries to achieve transformational performance. Don is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Lycoming Engines in 2003, Don held critical leadership assignments with world-class companies at every level of operations, including manufacturing, quality, engineering, and cross-functional business process improvement teams.
A graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and a retired Marine officer, Don concurrently earned his “masters” while training deploying units and serving as operations watch officer at Marine Corps Headquarters and at the Pentagon.
Don’s continuing education includes executive level programs at the University of Virginia, Northwestern, Tennessee and at Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and Champion, and was recognized as a Six Sigma Champion at Textron’s Top Gun 2007.
Jeff Copeland
Vice President of Finance

Jeff Copeland, Vice President of Finance, has full authority and responsibility as Chief Financial Executive of Lycoming. Since joining Lycoming in 2003, Jeff has been a key member of the Lycoming Leadership Team, the Safety Review and the Warranty Review Boards and leads Lycoming’s Information Technology team.
Prior to joining Lycoming, Jeff held several leadership roles within Textron, including Director of Finance for Textron Lycoming Turbine Engine division, and VP Finance, VP Operations, and President of Turbine Engine Components Textron. Before joining Textron in 1987, he held various financial positions with Bendix Corporation (now Honeywell), including Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Bendix Engine Components Division.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University, concentrating in Accounting and General Business, and his MBA from Michigan State University’s Advanced Management Program. He has been selected to attend several executive leadership programs, the most recent of which was World Class Finance: Strategic Partnering at Textron at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Certified Textron Six Sigma Green Belt.
Mike Everhart
Director, Distribution Management & Customer Service

As Director, Distribution Management and Customer Service, Mike Everhart is responsible for the contractual relationship and business processes associated with Lycoming Engines’ aftermarket distribution network. In this capacity, Mike’s organization also includes customer service, product support and warranty administration. Mike will help drive Lycoming’s business strategy and aftermarket growth by providing an efficient and effective channel for the distribution of Lycoming products and services to our world-wide customer base. Mike is a member of Lycoming’s Leadership Team.
Mike is a 24-year veteran of Textron, joining Lycoming Engines in September 2001. At Lycoming, Mike has served in a variety of critical operations roles managing diverse areas including quality assurance, materials, procurement, and manufacturing prior to his assignment in his current position in October 2004.
Mike began his career at Textron, in 1983 at Turbine Engine Components Textron, where he held several management and executive roles in materials and operations management, including general manager of the division’s largest manufacturing facility.
Mike attended the University of Michigan where he studied business administration and has completed Textron’s executive development program including the global leadership forum at the Wharton Business School and the growth leadership program at the Fisher College of Business.
Michael Kraft
Vice President, Research, Development & Engineering

Michael Kraft leads the Research, Development, And Engineering work that supports the deployment of premier products. This commitment to excellence is supported by Textron’s Design for Six Sigma initiatives as well as the Textron Systems Advanced Solution Center group, allowing Lycoming to leverage talent across the Textron enterprise. Mike is a member of Lycoming’s Leadership Team and also directs the Air Safety Investigation unit.
Mike joined Lycoming after tenure in engineering and general management at Andritz, GE Power Systems, and GE Aircraft Engines. In his engineering leadership roles, he has formed high performance teams capable of rapidly improving product development cycles without compromising product safety or performance.
Mike is a graduate of bachelor and master degree programs in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jay Mankad
Director of Quality

Jay Mankad, as Director of Quality for Lycoming Engines, is responsible for leading all aspects Lycoming’s AS9100 Registered Quality Management System. This includes leadership of customer-focused activities relative to quality planning, measuring, analyzing and reporting and the innovative application of quality principles and practices that support customer requirements.
Jay is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team and also leads the Lycoming Diversity Team which fosters awareness, acceptance, and respect of Lycoming’s diverse workforce.
Jay rose from his first assignment at Lycoming as a Supervisor Quality Engineering to lead key areas including Quality Systems Engineering and Quality Assurance. In 2003, Jay became one of Lycoming’s first Six Sigma Black Belts, and has led Lycoming’s lean transformation as head of our Kaizen Office.
In 2006, Jay received Textron’s prestigious Chairman’s Innovation Award for his contribution to Plan for Profit, and for developing a Financial Management Tool of Key Business Process Indicators.
Jay holds dual B.S. Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Chemistry. His certifications include Textron Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Auditor and TAP (Transformation Process) Coach.
Suzette M. Snyder
Director of Human Resources

Suzette Snyder is Director of Human Resources for Lycoming Engines. She is responsible for leading Lycoming Engines Human Resources function in the areas of labor relations, employee relations, talent selection, development and retention, benefits and compensation, performance and career management, succession planning, and work force planning. This includes the local leadership development programs, and management assessment processes. Suzette is an active member of Lycoming’s Leadership Team. She is instrumental in driving cultural change through contract implementation and has helped rebuild the union/management relationship through Relationship By Objectives (RBO) and by implementing Working Together 101 sessions. She has also participated on the HR Shared Services Pension Process improvement team, Lycoming’s RBO Executive Steering Committee and Lycoming’s Material Lean Accelerator.
Prior to joining Lycoming and being named Director of Human Resources in 2005, Suzette held Human Resource managerial positions of increasing responsibility at ConAgra Foods, Inc., Kellogg Company, TRW, Inc., and Pennsylvania Blue Shield. She joined Textron from ConAgra Foods where she was the Regional Human Resources Manager, with responsibilities supporting HR functions for four operating facilities.
Suzette has a BS in Business Administration/Management from Bloomsburg University and holds SPHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Jack Strite
Director Strategic Planning and Business Development

Jack Strite is responsible for identifying and developing business approaches and relationships that allow Lycoming’s continued growth through new product opportunities and market expansion. Jack is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team.
Jack has worked at Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA since 1996 in a variety of sales, marketing and business development roles and was the first Six Sigma Black Belt ever certified at Lycoming. Previously, Jack was Director of Strategic Planning and Information Systems at Lycoming’s Turbine Engine Facility in Stratford, Connecticut.
Jack received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Purdue University and a masters degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
Kathy Kocher
Executive Assistant

Kathy H. Kocher began her career at Lycoming in 1978. She is the Executive Assistant to Ian Walsh, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Lycoming Engines and has held the position of Executive Assistant for the past twelve years. Prior to that, Kathy was the Assistant to the Vice President of Human Resources for approximately fifteen years.
In June of 2007, Kathy received her Green Belt Certificate from Textron, Inc. by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of Textron Six Sigma methodologies.
Kathy is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team and participates in various committees at Lycoming Engines including Relay for Life, the Charitable Contributions Committee and others. She is personally active in the American Cancer Society.
Kathy attended Penn State and The Pennsylvania College of Technology and is presently in the process of continuing her education.
Doug Bubb

Doug Bubb started with Lycoming in 1977. Over his years of service to Lycoming, Doug has accumulated a vast range of experience in assembly, in engine test, and in the crankcase, the cylinder, and the connecting rod departments.
He also led the experimental department. Doug is a member of the Lycoming Leadership Team.
Doug’s duties include administering the collective bargaining agreement, and representing approximately 700 retirees and their dependents.

The leaders of Lycoming’s Sales, Marketing, Service and Support head a team of dedicated professionals, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and commitment while showcasing premier products, building solid customer relationships, and providing the best value supported by world class technicians and superior customer service.
Dennis R. Racine
Director, Marketing and Program Management
Lycoming Engines
As Director of Marketing and Program Management, Dennis has overall responsibility for Lycoming's marketing processes, including new customer leadership initiatives such as customer segmentation, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and customer positioning. Dennis works closely with sales, service and support, and engineering as Lycoming brings new products and services to market and implements product improvements more rapidly and effectively utilizing Textron Six Sigma processes and tools. In addition, he is responsible for helping develop Lycoming's overall business unit strategy.
Prior to his career at Lycoming, Dennis worked for AlliedSignal in various positions that included product marketing manager (aftermarket) at the Truck Brake Systems division; assistant product manager for Private Brand Filters, and brand associate for New Product Development at the Automotive Aftermarket division.
Through Lycoming, Dennis is a member of the Aircraft Distributors and Manufacturers Association, General Aviation Manufacturers Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Dennis graduated from Bryant University with a certificate of advanced graduate studies and a master's in business administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration-marketing from SUNY Plattsburgh and an associate's degree in business administration from Paul Smith's College. Dennis is also a certified Textron Six Sigma Greenbelt and is currently working on his Textron Six Sigma Blackbelt certification.
Dane McGuffee
Director, Global and Aftermarket Sales

As Director of Global Aftermarket Sales, Dane spearheads Lycoming's Global Aftermarket Sales efforts. In his role he provides vision, training, coaching, and leadership to a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers strategically located across the globe. He is our key liaison between the field and the factory and does and outstanding job of communicating the voice of the customer back to the factory. Dane also works closely with Marketing and Distribution on the development of sales forecasts and on market segmentation. Dane has a vast technical background and is sought after for his ability to present technical information to numerous different audiences. Dane is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Before joining Lycoming, Dane enjoyed a very successful career with Dallas Airmotive Inc., where he held numerous positions including Customer Service Representative, Field Service Engineer and Regional Sales Manager. As Regional Sales Manager Dane was responsible for all technical and commercial sales efforts. He represented 14 different engine lines and supported 3 major overhaul facilities and 10 regional turbine centers. His success in this role earned him the distinction of being selected Top Regional Sales Manager for several years running.
Dane studied Aviation Management at Southern Illinois University and is a licensed (FAA) Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic. He served for 7 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Flight Line Non-commissioned officer, where he supervised and instructed over 100 Marines in aviation maintenance, flight tactics & safety, and operations. He has also attended Marine Corps Institute, Aviation Ground Schools of America, Pratt & Whitney Tech. Schools, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Park College, Indiana University, and Ohio State University.
When Dane is not traveling the globe to visit and meet with customers you can find him in Sunnyvale, Texas, where he lives with his family and maintains an office.
Stephen Logue
Director of OEM Sales

Stephen Logue was appointed Director, OEM Sales for Lycoming Engines in March 2006. As a leader of Lycoming’s OEM sales team, Steve has both domestic and international responsibility for developing business strategies, ensuring operational excellence and supporting Lycoming’s extensive client base. He heads a high-performing OEM sales team and also oversees the development of sales forecasts, negotiates contracts, and is a key liaison between Lycoming and the OEM customer.
Steve joined Lycoming in 1987 and has held a variety of positions including senior buyer, aftermarket sales account manager, aftermarket sales regional manager and OEM sales manager. His background and experience give him an extensive and detailed knowledge of Lycoming, its products and its customers. Steve is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
For nine years Steve was president of Lycoming’s employee flying club and served on the club’s board of directors. Steve owns and flies the Piper Cub previously owned by his father. It has been fully restored to like-new condition including the trademark yellow paint with the black lightning bolt stripe.
Stephen Logue’s educational background includes a B.A. in Business Administration from Lycoming College, and an Associate of Science degree in aviation. Steve is also an accomplished Airline Transport rated pilot and a flight instructor with more than 3000 hours of flight time.
