Lycoming's standard tour gives individuals and small groups an inside view of the factory and a visit to the Lycoming Museum. We offer tours at 2 p.m. on most Wednesdays and Thursdays, and they last approximately one to one and half hours. We have a few tour blackout* timeframes during the year due to our busy trade show season and scheduled facility shutdowns.
Our in-house museum provides visitors a glimpse into our rich history that dates back many generations. The museum features pre-engine and engine products, audio stories, imagery, and a visual library of previous advertising materials.
Please note that Lycoming has a secure facility, therefore guests must provide personal identification information in advance for security screenings. Request a tour via the button below, and a member of the Lycoming team will contact you to collect any additional information required and to confirm tour availability.
Lycoming welcomes groups, such as college and high school students, organizations and special interest groups, to tour the factory and Lycoming Museum. The number of group tours available is dependent on tour guide availability and the factory schedule, so please inquire at least two months in advance of your preferred date for the tour schedule. A member of the Lycoming team will respond to your request to collect any additional information required and to confirm tour availability.
As a result of winning the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, companies seek to learn about Lycoming's lean journey and our path to premier status. Lycoming hosts a limited number of Benchmarking Tours per year to share our best practices and standard work with groups of 10 guests or less. To request a benchmarking tour, please complete our questionnaire and our Benchmarking Committee will review your request.
A Few Notes for Our Guests
Please note that no guest cell phones, cameras, recording devices or weapons are allowed in our facility. Also please wear closed-toe shoes on the day of your tour. For safety reasons we cannot host children under the age of 13 during standard work hours.
