Scott Witmer is the Senior Manager of Environmental Health and Safety and Facilities at Lycoming Engines. In Scott’s 17 years with the company, he has worked in Engineering, Maintenance, and Machining, and spent over 13 years in Environmental Health and Safety. Some of Scott’s notable achievements are Lycoming’s first 1 million hours without a lost time injury and the Governor’s Award for Safety Excellence. Scott also implemented Lycoming’s first wellness program, which had 74% participation in Health Risk Assessments and Biometric Scans. His priorities as Director of Operations are safety, quality, on-time delivery and competitive costs. His passion for continuous improvement helps to drive growth for the business and in turn, its employees. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Elizabethtown College and a master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. Scott is a Six Sigma Green Belt.
