Lycoming Receives AS9100D Certification

Lycoming Engines recently received a new Level D standard for our AS9100 certification. Independent certification organization NSF completed a week-long audit at the Lycoming Engines factory. The Level D standard represents a significant rewrite from Level C – along with an expansion of criteria. It is a higher, harder bar to pass.

According to NSF’s website, “AS9100 Aerospace Management Systems is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. AS9100 encompasses ISO 9000, with additional requirements for quality and safety relevant to aerospace and defines the quality management systems standard for the industry.” "At Lycoming Engines we are committed to the highest quality standards in complying with our robust Quality Management system,” said Director of Quality Jay Mankad. “We are always audit ready and it shows in the AS9100 results."
