MODELS AFFECTED

All Lycoming  reciprocating  aircraft engines with  AN  type  gear driven fuel  pump 

TIME OF COMPLIANCE

Any time the pump is installed. 

To decrease wear on the fuel pump drive spline, it is recommended that Castrol Contractor Special NLGI  #1  or greases shown in the  latest revision of Service Instruction No. 1059  be  applied to the  drive spline  before the pump is installed on the engine.
