Aaron Spotts

Aaron joined Lycoming Engines in 1997. Over the course of his career with the company, Aaron has held several leadership positions, including Sr. Manager, Airworthiness, and Director, Airworthiness, Certification & Design. In 2017, Aaron transitioned to become Vice President, Engineering within Lycoming Engines. Aaron received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and an Associate of Science in Aircraft Maintenance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds a FAA mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings as well as a FAA pilot certificate with private rating.

Aaron participated as a General Aviation Manufactures Association (GAMA) team member on the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC) System Component Failure-Powerplant (SCF-PP) working group. The GAJSC is a public-private partnership working to improve general aviation safety.
